The Hinsdale Police Department has launched a new initiative, "Block Watch".
This program has been developed to aid investigators in quickly locating residents that may have cameras near the scene of a crime. Home cameras will help us catch criminals, especially burglars that have been breaking into homes nearby.

control tool that will help slow traffic on residential
roadways in town. Sign Up
The Hinsdale Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. The session will be conducted in the Memorial Hall, Village of Hinsdale Memorial Building located at 19 East Chicago Avenue, Hinsdale, Illinois.

Safety Village 2014
Safety Village is a two week program, Tuesday June 10th to Friday June 20th, that runs each summer. Students entering kindergarten or first grade are eligible to participate. Registration forms will be available starting Wednesday, April 23rd at 7AM.
