All vehicles registered in the State of Illinois with a Hinsdale address must also be registered with the Village through the purchase of a vehicle license sticker.  The sale of vehicle stickers begins on March 1st each year and stickers must be displayed by May 1stVehicle stickers purchased after May 1st will be assessed a $ 25.00 late fee per sticker. and will need to be purchased in person.  Vehicles not displaying the current year’s vehicle sticker are also subject to a citation. 

The costs for vehicle stickers are listed below:

 Passenger - $ 40.00

  • Motorcycle - $ 20.00
  • Truck:

B Plate -            $   55.00

Above B Plate - $ 100.00

Senior Citizens who are age 65 or older at the time of purchase are eligible for a 50% discount ($20.00).  Limit one per senior citizen and two per household. NOTE: Vehicle stickers for those senior citizens taking advantage of the discount first time must be purchased IN PERSON at Village Hall (19 E. Chicago Ave.) as a current driver’s license is required at the time of purchase to document eligibility for the discount.

 Stickers which are lost or stolen may be replaced by purchasing a duplicate sticker at a cost of $2.00.
