How Can We Help You?

Burns Field Ice Rink

Weather permitting, The Village of Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Department sets up a temporary ice rink in Burns Field Park, located at 320 N. Vine Street.

The Ice Rink needs approximately 4-6 consecutive full days of weather below 32 degrees for the rink to be safe to skate on. STAY OFF THE ICE UNTIL IT IS OPEN. Failure to do so may damage the liner or prevent the ice from freezing properly, either delaying its opening or preventing it from opening at all.

Please pay attention to the barricades located at the rink - GREEN SIGNS = The Rink is Open, RED SIGNS = The Rink is Closed. The Parks & Recreation Department will also update the website, social media, or Rainout Line with updates on when the rink is officially open and okay to skate on throughout the season.

2022 Information
The Ice Rink at Burns Field is being filled and will tentatively open in the next few days. Please stay off the ice until GREEN SIGNS are posted.

The Warming House will open tentatively Saturday, January 7th for free hot chocolate, a cozy fire, and a place to warm up after skating. The Warming House will be open on Saturdays and Sundays 10am-6pm as long as the rink is open.

Please remember to respect any closures throughout the season. Keep up with the status of the Ice Rink on Facebook or Rainout Line. Barricades at the rink will also be posted.

Please do not use the Ice Rink if you or a member of your household have tested positive for or are experiencing symptoms of COVID.
