On August 8, a series of small brush fires started in Maui that quickly spread, resulting in destruction and deaths.  The Village has received inquiries regarding how residents can assist victims.  The Village recommends that residents donate to reputable organizations registered with the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, which provides a website lookup tool -  https://charity.ehawaii.gov/charity/search.html.
