Pickleball Courts in Brook Park
The Village of Hinsdale is pleased to announce the addition of 6 outdoor Pickleball courts to Brook Park as part of the upcoming capital budget resurfacing project. Currently, Brook Park has 4 tennis courts in need of repair. With the capital improvement project, 2 of these courts will be transformed into 6 Pickleball courts and the remaining 2 tennis courts will be resurfaced. This will allow for the expansion of the Pickleball program, and still accommodate the local tennis community. This decision was made and unanimously approved by the Hinsdale Parks & Recreation Commission at their meeting on October 10th. This decision was based on research from other local communities, results of the Village-wide Recreation survey from 2015, and a brief usage survey sent to the Brook Park local residents.
The Village, in conjunction with The Community House, is currently offering Pickleball learn-to-play classes, workshops, open play, and private lessons. To register for these programs or to learn more about the sport of Pickleball please visit http://www.villageofhinsdale.org/departments/parks_and_recreation .
For more questions, comments or feedback regarding the Pickleball courts, please contact the Village of Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Department at email@example.com or 630/789-7090.
